Abstract

ABSTRACT : Oyster mushroom farming has become an alternative livelihood for farmers in the Tigo Koto Dibaruah Village in recent years. This farming can increase the income of farming families. However, how much is the increase in farmers' income and whether this farming can really get farmers out of the cycle of poverty certainly requires studies. Therefore this research was conducted to determine the cost of cultivating oyster mushroom farming in Tigo Koto Dibaruah Village and also to find out how much income is earned by oyster mushroom farming in Tigo Koto Dibaruah Village. The research method used is descriptive quantitative. The selection of research locations was carried out purposively (purposive sampling) with the consideration that Tigo Koto Dibaruah Village is the largest mushroom-producing area in Payakumbuh. The data analysis technique used is calculating cultivation costs and calculating income. From the results of the study it was found that oyster mushroom farmers in Tigo Koto Dibaruah village were grouped into 3 groups, namely: farmers who made baglog and then sold it, farmers who made baglog and then cultivated it, and farmers who bought baglog and then cultivated it. This study shows that the amount of farmers' income is affected by the number of baglog they have. Of the three groups, the farmers who will have the greatest income are those who make baglog and then cultivate it themselves. The average income of farmers making baglog and then cultivating it is Rp. 3,266,712/month. In accordance with the criteria issued by BPS, this means that farmers' income is already classified as high. Keywords: Farming, Cultivation Costs, Income,
