Abstract

The background of this research is that the Arabic language material for tourism purposes still contains grammatical structure material that is prepared for Arabic practitioners, not for Arabic language users as a communication language. This study aims to analyze Arabic language material and find Arabic language teaching materials that are in accordance with tourism student scholarship. This research is a development research with a qualitative and quantitative approach which is carried out through three stages: introduction, development and implementation, data collection techniques are carried out by means of observation, interviews, documentation studies and questionnaires. This research resulted in a reorientation of Arabic learning for tourism purposes through the development of an Arabic tourism teaching material that contains themes related to tourism science, this teaching material is entitled "Al-Arabiyah Lissiyahah" this teaching material contains 6 themes consisting of 3 themes related to tourist destinations and 3 themes related to hospitality as a tourist accommodation. , such as Sarugo village tourist destinations, the beauty of the universe, lodging in hotels and others. The organization of the material in Arabic teaching materials starts with Arabic text with a material development structure using the whole language principle starting with KI, KD, Indicators, followed by Arabic text, conversation materials, language skills training, games, mahfuzhat, meaning of vocabulary. mid-semester and end-of-semester assignments. Based on the responses of Arabic language experts and learning media, this teaching material is considered very good
