Abstract

This article aims at describing the cultural- social values presented in English textbooks. The basic assumption were every textbooks introduce cultural values in the target of languages, as consequently it effects on learners’ thought and values. In critical analysis describe how the writer displays their culture through the textbooks. The fact culture can deliver the social values in social interaction. Therefore, a good textbook should have relevant and valuable issues upon social life in language teaching. Keyword : textbooks, critical analysis, instruction
