Abstract

This study aims to analyze the policy of reformulating corruption law in Law No. 20 of 2001 concerning changes and additions to Law No. 31 of 1999 concerning the eradication of Corruption in Indonesia, and the policy on the formulation of corruption law needed to accelerate the eradication of Corruption Crimes in Indonesia can be carried out This research is descriptive, using a normative approach, by analyzing the law. No 20 of 2001 which amended and added Law No. 31 of 1999, saw the renewal made compared to Law No. 3 of 1971 before, then analyzed qualitatively to find out weaknesses that still needed to be improved or revised with the formulation policy in the future. The study concluded that 1) Corruption Crime regulation policy in Law No. 31 of 1999 which has been amended and supplemented by Law Number 20 of 2001, is better than the existing regulation in Law No. 3 of 1971 concerning the Eradication of Corruption Crimes; 2) After being in effect for 18 years, there are some things that have not been regulated which are very much needed in eradicating Corruption Crime in Indonesia, and there are also a number of provisions whose arrangements require further certainty so that in practice it does not cause problems.
