Abstract
IP value (GPA) is the target of student achievement in getting the academic results that will determine student satisfaction for what he has mastered during the lectures. To achieve IP good value and very satisfying, students should maximize their academic achievement to get the value of the test with good results on the course taken. If there is a failure or repair value value then the required courses are remedial academic procedures. With the implementation of an expert system to determine remedial courses will help the academic authorities, lecturers and tutors in providing remedial policies taken can be continued or not. The design of this system using the method of Forward Chaining with implementation of the system using a Microsoft Access database system and Software Development Visual Basic 6.0. From the design of the system is made, it can be obtained a policy for students as well as the consideration of academic, lecturer and mentor on remedial process done by the students.
