Abstract
ABSTRACT By: Alfia Wulandari Overview of BPJS Health Patient Registration Based on Public Service Principles at Madina Bukittinggi General Hospital in 2024 The researcher conducted initial observations at Madina General Hospital Bukittinggi on March 23, 2024, and identified issues with queues for BPJS Kesehatan patient registration due to limitedservice counters. This reflects a problem with the ease of access, a key principle of public service. The study aimed to describe the BPJS Kesehatan patient registration process at Madina General Hospital Bukittinggi in 2024, focusing on public service principles. Conducted in April 2024, this research utilized a descriptive quantitative method, gathering data through questionnaires distributed to BPJS Kesehatan patients. The sample size consisted of 75 respondents. The results, analyzed using univariate techniques, indicated varying levels of service accuracy. Specifically, 52% of respondents found the procedures overly complex, while 48% considered them appropriate. In terms of timeliness, 34.7% rated the service as untimely, whereas 65.3% found it punctual. Accuracy was deemed insufficient by 44%, with 56% rating it as adequate. Responsibility in service delivery was viewed as lacking by 34.7% of respondents, though 65.3% believed it met the necessary standards. Ease of access was considered inadequate by 26.7% but satisfactory by 73.3%. Lastly, discipline was seen as inadequate by 38.7%, while 61.3% viewed it as appropriate. In conclusion, the study revealed that public service quality varied significantly, with key areas like procedure simplicity, accuracy, and responsibility needing improvement. To enhance public service, it is recommended to simplify procedures, improve time management, and increase staff training. Additionally, access should be made more convenient, particularly through digital means, and work discipline should be reinforced with clear guidelines.
