Abstract
Currently the world is focusing on automation and revolution, manufacturing is the main branch of the industrial revolution because it allows the use of machines that make daily human work easier. One of them is to design a plate bending and cutting machine where this machine is operated by a hydraulic system. In the traditional method, bending and cutting of plates is done with human labor such as bending knives and plate cutters, so the time used is inefficient and the resulting products are not guaranteed quality. This design uses solidworks software. Solidworks is a design program that is widely used to work on product design, machine design, mold design, construction design, and for other purposes. In accordance with the design to be made, Solidworks is equipped with tools used to calculate and analyze design results such as stress, strain, and the influence of temperature, wind and others. The development of CAD makes these calculations easier.
