Abstract

Earthquakes can occur due to shifts in the earth's plates, known as tectonic earthquakes. This is one of the most frequently encountered causes of earthquakes. This service activity provides outreach in the form of the importance of preparedness related to earthquake emergencies and provides material related to simulation activities. This activity was attended by around 20 students as an audience consisting of students at campus III, Muhammadiyah University of West Sumatra in Bukittinggi. Students who took part in this activity were very enthusiastic about counseling and simulating earthquake disasters. All audiences can practice earthquake disaster simulation well. At the end of the simulation session, the resource person always gives the participating students the opportunity to ask questions if there is something they do not understand or understand about the contents of the simulation counseling material or share experiences they have gained outside and are related to the simulation counseling material. The presenter answered all the participants' questions directly and discussed them together because the presenter also wanted the participants to have the opportunity to express their opinions
