Abstract

Firza Asdyarti (2022). Fiqh Teachers' Strategy in Instilling Prayer Habits in Students in Class XI TKJ SMK Plus Banking Bougenville, Lubuk Basung District, Agam Regency. Thesis. Postgraduate Program, Muhammadiyah University of West Sumatra This study aims to describe the description of students' prayer implementation and the strategy of the Fiqh teacher to instill the habit of praying in students as well as the supporting and inhibiting factors faced by the Fiqh teacher in instilling the habit of praying in class XI TKJ Plus Banking Bougenville, Lubuk Basung District, Agam Regency. The research used a descriptive qualitative approach. Sources of data in the form of primary and secondary data. Data collection techniques in the form of observation, interviews and documentation. Data were analyzed through data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. Meanwhile, the validity of the data was tested using source triangulation. The results of the study revealed that: 1) The description of the students' prayers; a) Students are very aware of the importance of the obligation to pray five times a day; b) Students generally rarely perform the five daily prayers at home; c) Students are lazy when forced to pray in congregation at school; d) Some students are already ingrained in themselves to get used to the five daily prayers; e) Sometimes they are told to pray first and sometimes there is selfawareness. 2) The strategy of the fiqh teacher to instill the habit of praying in students; a) Students are taught about the meaning, movement, and teach about the importance of prayer and get used to it; b) The teacher gives a worship control book. c) The teacher also gives fines or punishments for students who do not pray; d) The teacher sets a good example by inviting students for prayer; e) Complete and clean facilities and infrastructure f) The teacher gives rewards to students who complete their prayers. 3) Supporting and inhibiting factors faced by fiqh teachers in instilling prayer habits: inhibiting factors: a) Awareness that has not yet emerged from within; b) Teacher limitations in controlling all students; c) Parents who also do not pray at home; d) Factors from students who still have not memorized the prayer readings. Supporting factors: a) the role of fellow teachers; b) the role of parents; c) the facilities and infrastructure are complete; d) the absence of prayer applied by the teacher.
