Abstract
Traffic jams and accidents often occur at several intersections in the city area, especially if the intersection is close to the center of the crowd because of conflicting movements that occur between vehicles coming from each leg of the intersection. Therefore, efficient and optimal handling is needed. In this thesis research examines the Performance Analysis of the Simpang Empat Intersection at Tugu Tigo Baleh Bukittinggi City. The research location is at Jalan Tigo Baleh, precisely at the Tugu Tigo Baleh Intersection, Bukittinggi City with 4 intersection arms, namely Jalan Tigo Baleh, Jalan Kurai and Jalan Bermawi. At this intersection the traffic conditions are quite busy and congested, congestion often occurs and motorists violate traffic signs. The review and analysis was carried out based on the data obtained from the research location. In calculating the delay time, the degree of saturation, the average delay and the total delay that occurs at the intersection. From the results of data processing, the value of the degree of saturation (DS) is 0.81, the average delay (Dtot) is 2.6 seconds/cur. . Keywords: time delay, degree of saturation.
