Abstract

FACULTY OF TOURISM HOSPITALITY STUDY PROGRAM Final Project, 27 Agust 2024 Siti Audilla Medra Meningkatkan Kualitas Pelayanan Waiter/Waiters Dengan Metode Pelatihan Off The Job Training Di Pondok Ikan Bakar Suri ABSTRACT Siti Audilla Medra (2024), this research aims to improve the quality of service for waiter/waiters at Pondok Ikan Bakar Suri through off the job training methods. This research has two main objectives: first, to understand the implementation of off-the-job training for waiters in the restaurant. Second, to evaluate whether the training can improve the quality of employee service. The methodology used is qualitative research with an action method approach. Data was collected through observation, interviews and performance evaluation. The research results show that training using off the job training methods, especially through role play techniques, significantly improves service quality. The application of service Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) material introduced in the training has proven effective in increasing guest satisfaction. In conclusion, well designed off the job training can be an effective strategy in improving service performance in restaurants.
