Abstract
ABSTRACT The Bandar Pulai Irrigation Area is located across the city of Bukittinggi, Campago Guguak Bulek sub-district. This irrigation area is under the authority of UPTD Balai SDA BK Northern Region, SDA BK Office of West Sumatra Province with an area of 95 Ha. The weir is technical in nature with heavily damaged condition. The Bandar Pulai Irrigation Network (BP) is located in Bukittinggi City Crossing, Campago Guguk Bulek District. The regulation of water entering from rivers into irrigation networks cannot be controlled as needed, while the irrigation networks include technical irrigation networks. This is one of the causes of the lack of irrigation network performance and disruption of irrigation service functions and it is necessary to plan an analysis of irrigation channels. To carry out the construction of irrigation canals, good planning and a strong design are required. The method used in this research is descriptive quantitative research, a study to determine the planned flood discharge of the Batang Tambuo river. From the results of the analysis in the Bandar Pulai irrigation area, it was found that the intake discharge in the primary channel was 0.323 m³/s. For the area of irrigation in the early days of the planned irrigation channel for the Bandar Pulai irrigation area, it was 99.50 ha. Keywords: Irrigation, Irrigation Area, Irrigation canal dimensions
