Abstract

Helfiyana Maduwu. 2022. "Effectiveness of Group Counseling Services to Improve Santri's Confidence in Fardhu Prayer. Paper. Islamic Counseling Program, Faculty of Islamic Religion, Universitas Muhammadiyah Sumatera Barat. The importance of self awareness of students in increasing fardhu prayers in group guidance activities is very effective in helping students solve problems in group and individual activities. The purpose of this study was to compare the self-awareness of students in carrying out fardhu prayers before and after being given group guidance services. The research method used is a quantitative type of Pre-Experimental approach with One Group Pretest and Posttest Design. The research subjects were 10 students of Iqra Pasia Nan Tigo using purposive sampling technique. The research instrument used was the Self awareness scale which was compiled and tested for validity and reliability and data analysis using the Paired Samples Test (Test – t) using Statistical Product and Service Solution (SPSS) version 25. The results of the analysis stated that there were differences in the pretest and posttest with scores and the average self awareness of students after participating in group guidance services.
