Abstract
Ilham. 2022. “Effectiveness of Information Services to Improve Understanding of Harmonious Families of Prospective Bride and Grooms at the Nanggalo Padang Religious Affairs Office”. Thesis. Program Studi Bimbingan Konseling Islam Fakultas Agama Islam Universitas Muhammadiyah Sumatera Barat. This research is motivated by the phenomenon of family disharmony that occurs in Nanggalo District and the high divorce rate in Padang City. Therefore, it is necessary to increase understanding of the harmonious family for the bride and groom by using information services. This study aims to increase understanding of a harmonious family for the bride and groom so that disharmony does not occur and prevent divorce after marriage later. The research method used is quantitative research using pre-experimental design method type one group pretest-posttest on understanding the harmonious family of the bride and groom. This one group pretest-posttest design consists of one predetermined group. The subjects of this study were 30 brides and grooms at the Nanggalo Religious Affairs Office. The sampling technique or research subject uses accidental sampling technique and for data analysis using paired samples test (T-Test). The results of this study are 1) The results of the score and the average value of the pretest are in the very good category. 2) The results of the score and the average posttest value are in the very good category, have increased after the implementation of information services and are better than the pretest scores without any information service treatment. 3) There is a difference between the pretest and posttest scores. This can be known after the implementation of the pretest and posttest obtained through the results of the t-test. The Asymp.Sig value is 0.000 based on the results of the t-test calculation of the sample in question using SPSS version 25. It can be said that Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted because the score is smaller than (0.000 0.05). Keywords: Information Services, Understanding, Harmonious Family.
