Abstract

TOURISM FACULTY HOSPITALITY Last Project, 15 August 2023 Defliandra Putra Performance Evaluation of Housekeeping Supervisors at Riad Hotel Bukittinggi ABSTRACT Defliandra Putra (2023) Based on the initial observational information that the researchers obtained, housekeeping employees stated that there was a lack of supervisory supervision which caused small problems that had an impact on room cleanliness. Such as supervision of human resources where supervisors do not supervise housekeeping employees, this is evidenced by the lack of implementation of SOPs carried out by housekeeping employees. supervisors also do not supervise employees in taking room supplies that are not in accordance with the number of daily operational needs, such as in taking guest towels and supervisors paying little attention to the availability of work equipment and supervisors not supervising the application of employee SOPs at work where when drying guest bathrooms which are dried using guest towels. It can be seen that the supervising task of the supervisor is very important in the smooth operation of the company. Equipment that has been used for a long time will make the quality of service decrease so that it will have an impact on the level of guest satisfaction. Therefore it is necessary to update the equipment used so that the maximum results obtained are in accordance with guest expectations. Therefore the implementation of SOP is very necessary in order to provide maximum service to guests. Based on the description above, the researcher is interested in researching and takes the title "Supervisor's Evaluation of the Implementation of SOP (Standard Operating Procedures) on Housekeeping Performance at Riad Hotel Bukittinggi" This research is an evaluation research using a qualitative approach method. According to Sugiyono (2013) evaluation research is research that uses a systematic way to determine the effectiveness of a program, action or policy of another object under study when compared to the goals or standards applied. a. The supervisor's supervision of human resources has been carried out properly which includes supervision of work and work methods, relationships between individuals and work climate. However, it is only the supervision of employees' conditions that cannot be properly considered b.
