Abstract

This research used strategy to attract the students in teaching reading to enhance their reading skill with using story face in narrative text. The title of this research is “The Use of Story Face to Improve Students’ Reading Comprehension in Narrative Text”. The purpose of this research is to see any influence Junior High School students’ reading comprehension by using story face strategy in narrative text. To get the data, this research used T-test to find the mean scores of the pre-test and post-test. The subject of this research was IX 2 class in SMPN 5 Padang Panjang with 32 students. As the result, the score of pre-test was 79.87 and post-test was 81.68 which mean the mean score of post-test was higher than pre-test. Summary, the using of story face in narrative text improved students’ comprehension of reading and can see any influence of using story face in narrative text for Junior High School students
