Abstract

The Construction Project of the Distribution Network and House Connections (SR) in Nagari Garagahan experienced a delay in implementation from the initial plan of 150 calendar days to 170 calendar days. This delay was caused by the relocation of pipeline excavation points in a number of residents' houses. This research aims to analyze the optimal project completion time and identify critical activities that must be prioritized for supervision so that the project can be completed on time and avoid delay penalties. The method used is the Critical Path Method (CPM) to analyze the project network, calculate float time, and determine the critical path. The analysis results show that the optimal project duration is 133 days, 17 days faster than the initial plan. The critical path of this project is on activities: A (Site Preparation), B (Material Procurement), C (Earthworks), D (Pipe Installation), E (Other Works), I (Earthworks), J (Pipe Installation), K (Other Works), P (Pipe Installation), R (Finishing Work), V (Pipe Installation), W (Other Works), and X (Finishing Work). Activities on the critical path have a total float = 0, which means they must not be delayed at all. This research concludes that the application of the CPM Method is effective for optimizing the scheduling and control of construction projects. Keywords: Critical Path Method (CPM), Critical Path, Time Optimization, Project Scheduling, Project Delay.
